Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does using your service cost me anything?

A: No. Using our locating service is COMPLETELY FREE!  The apartments charge the same rental rates; regardless of what made you decide to visit their complex.

Q: Why is your service free?

A: Since we are one of their best  advertising sources, using our service to find tenants is already included in the apartment's advertising budget.  We are a promotional service (not unlike a travel agency) and are paid a referral fee by the property owner when you lease someplace we refer you to.

Q: What should I do when I go someplace you referred me to?

A: The management companies prefer that you inform them by writing "APARTMENTS TO GO" in the blanks on your rental application and guest card where it asks “How were you referred?”

Q: Why do rental property owners use your locating service?

A: It costs them a LOT to get stuck with one (or even more) empty apartments! We help prevent this waste by referring  prospective tenants to lease or pre-lease any current or anticipated vacancies.

Q: How does using a locator benefit the onsite apartment management?

A: We refer people to them that we believe would be interested in what their properties have to offer.  After using our service, the people we send are not only better informed about, but also already interested in the complexes they choose to visit.  This means they have much better chances of leasing (than with the average “drop in” customer) and therefore are spending more productive time showing apartments.

Q: Can you help me find someone to take over all or part of my lease?

A: Yes, and we do have reasonable rates.  You can hire us just like the apartments do.  If we successfully locate someone to assume responsibility for your lease, you will be charged only after they have qualified and moved in.
